Five ways to turn a laptop into money, each one done by hand: talking a victim out of their card, swiping it through a skimmer, forging a check in Fotoshop. Every step can go wrong, and the police hear about it when it does.

What players do, in the order they do it
The Undernet lists people to call, each with a file: age, work, bank, family and how they are on the phone. A player picks a victim and a cover story, then types what they say, and an AI answers as the victim. The victim's hidden trust, suspicion, anger and patience still decide whether they read out their card or hang up. Without an API key, calls use the written replies.
The details from a call are typed into MagWriter and loaded onto a blank card. Then the card is swiped through the skimmer: hold the mouse button and drag it through at a steady speed. A cloned card pays once at an ATM, unless the ATM keeps it and calls the police.
The slower, safer way to empty a card: buy money orders at a 24/7 till, a little at a time, and cash them at a bank teller. Bigger orders are likelier to get the card flagged, and its owner may cancel it a few minutes later.
Stolen checks come out of mailboxes. On the check printer a player scans one in, removes the payee in Fotoshop, writes their own name in matching handwriting and prints it on a blank check. A teller pays it or catches it, and the bigger the check, the bigger the risk.
Buy boxed electronics on a cloned card, scan the receipt, change the card payment to cash and return the box at another store for a refund. A perfect receipt is still a gamble, and the odds get worse with every return that day.
The GhostLine VPN only runs with its USB dongle in the laptop. Without it, logging in to the Undernet or starting a call tells the police where the laptop is.

What you set, and what the server keeps in hand
Every card, check and money order is a row in the database from the moment it exists. The item only works if its row says it has not been used.
How a call ends, what a card pays and what a teller or an ATM does are decided on the server. The AI only speaks for the victim: it is never told the card, so it can't be talked into handing one over.
Nine dispatch scripts are found automatically. Each alert has its own chance, code, priority and cooldown in the config.
Keep it to some players by job, Discord role or FiveM license. Players who may not do it never see the options or the apps.
How often an ATM keeps a card, a teller's odds for every $1,000, daily limits and cooldowns are numbers in config.lua.
Server events fire when a call ends, a card or a check is cashed, and the police are alerted, so your own logs, XP or MDT can follow along.
The script is protected by FiveM's asset escrow. These stay readable, so you can change and translate them:

5 steps
Get tr_core and tr_laptop from GitHub and tr_fraud from your Cfx.re account, and put all three in your resources folder.
In server.cfg, below your framework, inventory and oxmysql:
ensure tr_core ensure tr_laptop ensure tr_fraud
Copy the entries from install/ox_inventory or install/qb-inventory into your inventory, and the images from install/images.
The database tables are made on their own on the first start.
Open config.lua and set devMode to false.
Victim calls you type yourself, answered by an AI, and a file on every victim to build the scam on.
Two new ways to turn a cloned card into cash, and a way to keep fraud to the players you choose.
A clearer Fotoshop, and checks that show what is really written on them.
Check fraud: a fourth way to make money on the laptop.
First release on tr_laptop: the VPN, Undernet and MagWriter apps, the VPN dongle and the card skimmer.
